Synopsis: Prague, 1950. Hakl, a member of the Communist police, investigates a seemingly worldly robbery in a goldsmith's shop. Nevertheless, his desire for the truth leads him to a new test that indicates that the case is much more complicated than it seems. State Security takes over the investigation and replaces it with a German Zionist crime specialist, Zenke, whose ominous arrival appears to be much more than just a coincidence. Hakl remains defiant on his own with his investigation, and sends both men into a clash with state powers beyond what they might have suspected.
